Assistance for POA

It is very difficult for the NRIs to travel India again and again to mange their properties and other belonging, and so as a consequence of it, the need of power of attorney arises, to save money and time from the hassles, dealing with the corrupt government officials in India.

Let me to clarify first, to execute any foreign document in India, either it should be attested by the High Commision of the India in their respective country or apostiled by the commonwealth office in their respective country, the validity of which is approved by the apostile treaty, an international treaty drafted by The Hague conference on the private international law and India is a member to this treaty.

POA is not very a simple document as it looks like and is drafted keeping into consideration the need and purpose of the POA in the context of laws of both jurisdictions.

I have seen many clients frauded by their agents by misusing their general power of attorney and registering their properties in their names with the connivance of revenue officials. We have a team of lawyers and Solicitor’s well versed in the UK and Indian laws, who can advise us on the legal aspect of the POA and also assist in drafting it to protect our clients from any future complications. We also do one day apostile services for our clients. Our charges are very nominals for the above services.

There are many occasions where NRI need exemptions from appearances in the courts in criminal proceedings going against them and their absence from such hearings could put them in a big trouble when they visit India next time and could also be arrested on their arrival in India.
